Man Hit By Vehicle Dies In Shelton Crash

A man has died after being hit by a vehicle in Fairfield County.

CT Tree Worker Struck, Killed By Work Truck In Shelton ID'd

The incident took place in Shelton around 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9 on School Street in the area of Monroe Street.

According to Det. Christopher Nugent of the Shelton Police, police officers, and EMS responded to the area and located an unresponsive man who was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Shelton Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is actively investigating the incident, Nugent said.

The identity of the victim will be withheld until notification of next of kin is notified.
